Opening Images: ‘Open’ or ‘New’ tab. Open multiple images by command/control clicking. ‘New’ tab is a blank background. Width and Height settings can be customised when opening images.
Workspace: The document window. Right Hand Side= Panels- These are image editing controls. Window menu shows hidden panels. Left Hand Side= Tool Panels- Can see function by hovering over tool. Top of the screen= ‘Options’ control bar- changes for each tool. Very top= Menus Undo command= Command/Control + Z
Zooming and panning: Zooming= Changing Magnification. Zoom Tool= Zoom in/ out by options bar- shortcut by Alt+ Click to switch zooming in/ out. Continuous zoom= Click and hold. Fit Screen option resets the image to fit perfectly. Hand Tool= Panning.
Undo Last Command: Command+ Z Undo Multiple Steps Edit, Step backward. Edit, Step forward.
Saving: File- Save (Autosaved) over last image. Save as- Choose destination. Format should be ‘.psd’ (photoshop) to preserve layers.
Making Gifs: Multiple Images opened for the gif. Window- Animation. Put all images into one frame. Any changes to the images must be made in the first frame. Set delay as 0.5 seconds. Duplicate frames and hide 1 layer at a time. To save: File- ‘Save for Web and Devices’.
